Research has shown that a strong vocabulary hastens learning. In order to ensure your students academic success it is therefore critical to expose them to a broad vocabulary base and improve their vocabulary. Effective teaching uses a variety of formats in order to ensure retention. Reading and writing are obvious channels but so too are listening, speaking and practice as well as fun games to improve their vocabulary . Exposure to a diverse, rich language will increase comprehension and communication sills, produce exciting and interesting written work and develop confident, fluent speakers.
