Featuring Matariki, the mother of the star cluster and a symbol of health and wellbeing, this craft encourages reflection and cultural connection. Ideal for classroom celebrations or art activities, the necklace is simple to decorate and offers an opportunity to discuss the meaning of Matariki - a shortened form of Ngā Mata o te Ariki Tāwhirimātea, or ‘The eyes of the god Tāwhirimātea’.
