Calculators are a conundrum. As a teacher, on one hand you want children to become fluent in maths skills while on the other hand you understand the importance of technology. Calculators are here to stay! We live in a technological age and calculators are a part of that. They allow students to reach higher levels of mathematical power and understanding by side stropping the tedious pen and paper work. Calculators are more accurate and efficient at performing many commutations. They are also one of the more inexpensive and portable school supplies.
