Patterns and sequencing skills can be learned relatively quickly, with the help of pattern cards, children soon learn the repetitive nature of pattern sequencing. Understanding patterns aids mental skill development, mathematical relationships , problem solving and algebraic skills. Young children begin with simple colour and shape patterns eventually progressing to more complex data analysis and behavioural patterns.
