Sensory Tools
Young children learn with their senses. Their sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch are continually developing and being refined. Sensory play facilitates exploration and the natural encouragement of scientific processes. In preschools, kindergarten and at home, tactile objects teach children about the way things feel - rough, smooth, soft, hard etc. Auditory resources are those that promote listening, communication and social skills such as music, voices and sounds. Visual senses are necessary to see the world around us and distinguish colour, shapes size and so on.
