Cuisenaire rods are a tactile mathematical learning aid developed in the 1950’s. Each coloured rod is assigned a numerical value from one (white) to ten (orange) and rods get progressively larger as their numeric value increases. Magnetic Cuisenaire Rods are ideal for teaching on vertical magnetic surfaces, while plastic rods are suitable for hands-on student learning.
